Employment Rights (Dispute Resolution) Act 1998 (Commencement No. 1 and Transitional and Saving Provisions) Order 1998, SI 1998/1658.
The Employment Rights (Dispute Resolution) Act 1998 (Commencement No. 1 and Transitional and Saving Provisions) Order 1998, SI 1998/1658 brought the whole of ERDRA 1998 into effect on 1st August 1998 EXCEPT for the following provisions:
(ii) hearings by an employment tribunal chairman sitting with only one other member (ERDRA 1998 s.4 - DTI Press Release P/98/561 of 13th July 1998 states that this is likely to be brought into force early in 1999).
(iii) extension of duties of conciliation officers to settlement of redundancy payment cases (ERDRA 1998 s.11, brought into force by SI 1998/1658 above on 1st October 1998).
(iv) internal appeals procedures and unfair dismissal awards (ERDRA 1998 s.13, brought into force by SI 1998/1658 above on 1st January 1999).
(v) Certain minor provisions of schedule 1 brought into force by SI 1998/1658 above on 1st January 1999.
