Employment Relations Act 1999 s.31 is entitled "Employment Agencies".

Employment Relations Act 1999 sch.7 is also entitled "Employment Agencies".

BASIC POSITION
The current rules concerning the operation and conduct of employment agencies and employment businesses have not been substantially altered for over 20 years.

New rules are being introduced with effect from 6th April 2004 pursuant to the above provisions (Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 SI 2003/3319 - see notes at Employment Agencies/2003 regulations ).
