Rights of Relatives to Damages (Mesothelioma) (Scotland) Act 2007 received Royal Assent on 26th April 2007 and came into force on the following day.
This Act gives the relatives of a person who has died from mesothelioma the right to claim damages even if the victim settled their own claim while alive.
