[2004] IRLR 545, EAT on 16th February 2004


Authority for the proposition that:-
the EAT held that an autistic employee could be regarded as a 'disabled' person. Overturning the decision of the tribunal at first instance, the EAT took a broader approach, emphasising that difficulty in coping with normal social relationships can amount to an 'adverse effect' caused by an 'impairment'.
