past police investigations into the conduct of a school teacher can properly be disclosed to those involved in considering future employment of that person as a school teacher even though the investigatons had not led to prosecution. Such disclosure is acceptable under rules of natural justice, is not contrary to Human Rights legislation and is permitted under the exceptions to the Data Protection Act 1998.
