compensation for wrongful dismissal payable to an employee who has not completed the period of continuous employment needed to claim unfair dismissal but who would have done so if the dismissal had been carried out lawfully can include compensation for the loss of chance to claim unfair dismissal (and therefore inter alia of basic award).
