an employee who is currently fit for work but who claims to be disabled within the meaning of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 by reason of a progressive condition (such as cancer, multiple sclerosis or muscular dystrophy or HIV infection) must show not only that he is suffering from the condition but also that it is more likely than not that at some stage in the future it will give rise to an impairment which will have a substantial adverse effect on his ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities.
