The office of Commissioner for Protection Against Unlawful Industrial Action was abolished with effect from 25th October 1999 by Employment Relations Act 1999 s.28 (save for winding up on going matters - see Employment Relations Act 1999 (Commencement No 2 and Transtional and Saving Provisions) Order 1999, SI 1999/2830 sch 3 para 4).
