Authority for the proposition that:-
- in a case of sexual harassment, an employer has a good defence if it is "very difficult to see what steps in practical terms the employers could reasonably have taken to prevent" the harassment occurring
- for there to be sex discrimination within the meaning of section of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 s.1(1)(a) "it is... necessary to look at the treatment and not at the consequences of the treatment".
