under the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992, the Central Arbitration Committee ("CAC") has a supervisory role as to the validity of the recognition ballot, and has jurisdiction to investigate and, if appropriate, to annul the ballot and order a re-run.
