In December 2003 the DTI announced that it would henceforward introduce domestic employment regulations for which it has responsibility on two dates each year: April 6th (the start of the tax year) and October 1st (the annual date on which the minimum wage is revised). Details are in 2004/01/14 - DTI Press Release P/2004/019 re "First annual statement on employment law changes". In February 2005 the DTI announced it would extend this practice to regulations dealing with other aspects of its responsibilities (see 2005/02/10 - DTI Press Release re Annual Commencement Dates).
