Romec Ltd v Rudham, EAT on 13th July 2007
in the context of a claim under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 s.4A ("Employers: duty to make adjustments"), an Employment Tribunal cannot properly determine whether a particular step proposed by the employer amounted to a 'reasonable' adjustment without first assessing the extent to which taking that step would have prevented the 'effect in relation to which the duty was imposed' (i.e. the employee's disability).
