workers who are not employed in Great Britain cannot claim unfair dismissal (under Employment Rights Act 1996) and cannot claim protection under Fixed-Term Employees (Prevention of Less Favourable Treatment) Regulations 2002, unless they fall within the very limited exceptions set out by the House of Lords in the case of Lawson v Serco HL 2006 ICR 250.
