Health and Safety (Education and Training) Bill presented on 22nd October 2008.

On 22nd October 2008 George Howarth, Labour MP for Knowsley, North and Sefton, East, presented a Bill under the Ten Minute Rule "to make requirements about the integration of health and safety issues in education and vocational training; and for connected purposes".

The Bill proposes that the principles of health and safety to be included in education and training curricula in schools, colleges and relevant university courses as well as in work

The Bill was given its first reading. Second reading is scheduled for Friday 31st October 2008 (see Hansard HC col 319 on 22.10.08).
