    BASIC POSITION

    There is no specific repetition in Equality Act 2010 of previous provisions which outlawed discriminatory job advertising under pre-1st October 2010 law now replaced by that Act.

    As the official explanatory notes to the 2010 Equality Act point out, specific prohibition against discriminatory advertisements is no longer required as it is covered by the 2010 Act generally.
