Ellis v Brighton Cooperative Society Ltd [1976] IRLR 419, EAT on 29th July 1976
where there has been a properly consulted-upon reorganisation of a business which, if it is not done, is going to bring the whole business to a standstill, a failure by an employee to go along with the new arrangements may (but is not bound to) constitute "some other substantial reason" justifying dismissal.
For relevant general notes see Unfair dismissal/some other substantial reason (''SOSR'') for dismissal .
