    Authority for the propositions that:-

    1. men entitled to jobseekers' allowance, not only women, can be entitled to an additional amount in respect of children in relation to whom they have been entitled to child benefit;
    2. the Jobseeker's Allowance Regulations 1996 (SI 1996/207) violate the prohibition against discrimination on the basis of sex in relation to statutory schemes which provide protection against unemployment as laid down in art 4 of the Equal Treatment (employment) Directive 76/207/EEC .
