The Advocate General has given his Opinion on three cases which had not been formally joined but which all concerned the scope of the concept of ‘establishment’ for the purposes of collective information and consultation under the Collective Redundancies Directive (No.98/59): Lyttle and ors v Bluebird UK Bidco (Case C-182/13); Cañas v Nexea Gestión Documental SA, Fondo de Garantía Salarial (Case C-392/13); USDAW and anor v WW Realisation 1 Ltd (in liquidation) and anor (C-80/14) (the ‘Woolworths’ case).
