Regulations to amend the Social Security (Invalid Care Allowance) Regulations 1976 (SI 1976/409) - increase in amount of weekly earnings before person is treated as "gainfully employed" for entitlement to carer's allowance from £95 to £100; Social Security (Claims and Payments) Regulations 1987 (SI 1987/1968) - updated references to certain social fund benefits; Social Security and Child Support (Decisions and Appeals) Regulations 1999 (SI 1999/991) - supersession of decisions where legislation is due to come into force; the effective date for late notification of change of circumstances in relation to attendance allowance and disability living allowance; and the date on which entitlement to state pension credit terminates on the death of the claimant.

These Regulations amend the Social Security (Contributions) Regulations 2001, SI 2001/1004 so that regulation 52A, which provides for the return of National Insurance contributions paid in excess of the annual maximum prescribed in regulation 21, takes account of the introduction of the “upper accrual point” (“UAP”).
