New regulations reproduce exceptions to the equal treatment rule now in Equality Act 2010 ss.67-71 which were previously in regulations 13-15 of the Occupational Pension Schemes (Equal Treatment) Regulations 1995 SI 1995/3183, now revoked.
A new Order contains permitted exceptions for occupational pension schemes to the non-discrimination rule contained in Equality Act 2010 s.61 as it applies to age. It also contains permitted exceptions relating to employer contributions to personal pension schemes as they apply to age.
