Is mandatory pay gap reporting coming into force?

It would seem so for businesses with 250 or more employees. The Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act received Royal Assent on 26th March 2015 and this requires the government to make regulations concerning mandatory gender pay reporting under section 78 of the Equality Act 2010 ‘as soon as possible’ and in any event within 12 months. For background information please see our law card on Equal Pay and Terms- Pay secrecy
