News this month includes the government’s announcement that it will introduce a Code of Practice to address the tactics of fire and rehire and that, at long last, there is a centralized government online repository for Court and Tribunal judgments, available to all via a free caselaw service. There is helpful new guidance from the EHRC on the provision of separate or single-sex services to trans people. Consultations reported include a call for evidence from the Director of Labour Market Enforcement on the scale and nature of non-compliance with labour laws. What is income protection?

Income protection is designed to protect you financially if illness or injury leaves you unable to work and earn an income. Typically, an income protection policy can cover around 60-70% of your gross monthly salary. Then, should you become incapacitated, you could receive a replacement income until you sufficiently recover.
