EAT agrees with tribunal that it is expedient on grounds of national security that this hearing should in private.
A British soldier who is of Asian origin is bringing an employment tribunal claim against the MoD. He claims that he was bullied and suffered racial discrimination while on active service with an SAS unit in Afghanistan. He is also claiming that inadequacies in the way that his subsequent complaints of ill-treatment were dealt with following his return to this country in mid-2007 amount to unlawful victimisation.
