Abbey National Plc v Bascetta - ET cannot rely on material not part of Claimant's case that Respondent has not been able to address

Ms Bascetta was made redundant by Abbey National as part of a large scale redundancy exercise. An Employment Tribunal held that Abbey had unfairly dismissed her, and that the dismissal was an act of sex discrimination by way of victimsation based on an earlier claim.

Abbey appealed (and Ms Bascetta cross-appealed on other matters, although she lost).
