Atkins v Coyle Personnel PLC - Unfair dismissal and paternity leave regulations  EAT
A Mr Gerome Atkins claimed that he was unfairly dismissed whilst on paternity leave in March 2006. An Employment Tribunal rejected his claim. The tribunal found that he was dismissed during the course of a heated argument which took place between him and his line manager. The line manager was annoyed and frustrated at Mr Atkins response to his seeking to contact him whilst he was at home although he had agreed to be contacted there.
