Beasley v National Grid Electricity Transmissions - 88 seconds late claim form is out of time [2007] EAT

Mr Beasley's unfair dismissal claim was dismissed as being outside the prescribed three month time limit. It arrived at the employment tribunal, by e-mail, 88 seconds late. The evidence was that Mr Beasley knew of the three month time limit. He misread the e-mail address to which he had to send the claim form. When he discovered his error, he sent a test message. Only then did he resend the claim form. By now midnight had passed and the time limit expired.
