Beecham v Technicolor Disc Services International Ltd - Territorial jurisdiction [2006] EAT

An employment tribunal held that it had no jurisdiction to consider claims brought by an English woman whose home, which she often visited at weekends, was in England. Her full time job was in Paris working for a UK company in a joint-venture business it had established with the French subsidiary of Thompsons, the global media and entertainment group. The employment tribunal, following the 2006 ruling of the House of Lords in Lawson v Serco considered that any connection between her work and Great Britain was insufficient to give the employment tribunal jurisdiction.
