Bryant v Sage Care Homes Ltd - employer should not necessarily wait for professional body's decision before dismissing employee
The fact that a dismissed employee's professional body decides to take no action over an incident in no way means that dismissal was outside the range of reasonable responses. An employer cannot routinely wait for such decisions since dismissal, which is a decision for it alone, must be proceeded with without undue delay to remain fair.
