Cave v Portsmouth City Council - The necessity test and implying contracts in agency situations [2008] EAT

Mr Cave was supplied by an agency (Eden Brown Ltd) to work for Portsmouth Council. He claimed to have been unfairly dismissed by the Council, but an employment tribunal held that there was no contractual relationship between them. Therefore he was not their employee. His claim was dismissed. Mr Cave appealed.
