CentreWest London Buses Ltd v Ukachukwu - Unfair dismissal "some substantial other reason" [2007] EAT

An employment tribunal found that CentreWest London Buses Ltd had unfairly dismissed Mr Ukachukwu following "an incident" at the bus depot. The EAT has dismissed their appeal against that finding.

The original tribunal also found that Mr Ukachukwu had been subjected to direct racial discrimination and victimisation. The EAT has allowed the employer's appeal against that part of the tribunal's decision. The EAT was satisfied that an appropriate comparator would have been treated in precisely the same way a Mr Ukachukwu.
