Chickerova v Holovachuk - Grievance procedures [2007] EAT
An Employment Tribunal had ordered Ms Chickerova to pay £794 to Mrs Holovachuk to make good deductions from wages. She had not responded to the claim because (she said) she thought it did not refer to her as her name had been wrongly spelled. Ms Chickerova appealed, contending that the claim was invalid because the statutory grievance procedure rules had been breached because Mrs Holovachuk had issued her claim too quickly.
