Coors Brewers Ltd v Adcock & ors - Unlawful Deduction from Wages

The Leicester employment tribunal held that Coors Brewers had unlawfully withheld bonuses (totalling some £600,000) from the wages of over 500 employees. The Brewery appealed on 3 different grounds - that the workers had no legal entitlement to the bonus; that the tribunal had failed to give adequate reasons for its decision; and that its decision was perverse.

The EAT allowed the appeal to the extent that it remitted the case back for re-hearing before a fresh Employment Tribunal.
