Corpora Software Ltd v Perry - Polkey and the calculation of just and equitable compensation [2008] EAT
Corpora dismissed Ms Perry after she refused to agree to a salary reduction and change in role. Although an employment tribunal dismissed her sex discrimination claim it found the dismissal unfair - Corpora's grievance and appeals procedures had been a "sham" to protect their position in tribunal proceedings. It held that Ms Perry had not contributed to her dismissal and that there was no basis for a "Polkey" reduction in compensation. Corpora appealed.
