Corus Hotels Plc. v Woodward & anor - Compensation for injury to feelings [2006] EAT
Single mother Ms Woodward applied for a job with Corus Hotels plc as a receptionist. Her interview was "conducted in a crassly sexist manner", she did not get the job, claimed sex discrimination and won.
She was awarded £5,000 for injury to feelings and £525 for loss of earnings at a Hull employment tribunal.
