Corus UK Ltd v Anderson and ors EAT
This case concerned a collective agreement under Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 s.178. However, the case was decided on general contract law principles. An agreement on a new pay structure had been signed by all the union negotiators, except for the Teesside representatives, who wished to consult their members. Therefore, there had been no "acceptance" by the unions and Corus were entitled to withdraw their offer.
