Defoe v HM Prison Service - Disclosure [2007] EAT

Former prison officer Mr Defoe, took his employers to a tribunal claiming race discrimination, disability discrimination and victimisation. The tribunal chairman concluded that certain Security Information Reports which related to the case, should only be disclosed to Mr Defoe in "redacted" form (by altering them in such a way as to delete not only matters which were irrelevant in relation to Mr Defoe but also by deleting the identity of the person who provided the information and the identity of the prison officer who received the information in the course of the process).
