Department for Constitutional Affairs v Jones - Grievance procedures in dismissal cases EAT
Mr Jones, a solicitor, was dismissed from his job as a justices clerk in January 2005 on grounds of misconduct. He brought various employment law claims against the DCA. One was a disability discrimination claim filed outside the normal 3 month time limit. A tribunal decided that nevertheless it would be just and equitable to let the claim proceed and the DCA appealed to the EAT.
