Framptons Ltd v Badger & ors - Enhanced redundancy payments [2006] EAT

The tribunal decided that several employees were entitled to enhanced redundancy payments purusant to Collective Agreements.

The employer appealed on the ground that the tribunal erred in the way in which it construed the relevant contracts of employment of these employees, arguing that although there had been rights to enhanced payments, they had come to an end prior to their contracts being terminated. Furthermore, the employer argued that the Collective Agreements had not been incorporated into the contracts of monthly-paid staff.
