Francois v Castle Rock Properties Ltd (t/a Electric Ballroom) - Tribunal not wrong to give no compensation for delayed receipt of pay [2011]

Interest is not payable on a compensatory award; the question of whether a tribunal should award additional compensation to an award, in order to cover lost earnings to allow for losses caused by delayed receipt, must be answered on a future occasion.

Security man Mr Francois was summarily dismissed following an allegation of misconduct. An employment tribunal ruled that his dismissal was unfair, essentially due to serious flaws in the investigation. It dismissed his discrimination claims.
