Where an employer already wants to dismiss an employee, and then something quite separate occurs such as misconduct, it is a question of fact as to whether the separate issue such as the misconduct is the reason for the dismissal, or whether this was simply a pretext and dismissal was actually the result of the original predisposition to do so.
