Greater Glasgow Health Board v Lamont - whether end of secondment was redundancy was a simple question of fact

When a redundancy payment is claimed, the sole question for the employment tribunal is whether or not the dismissal was for reason of redundancy. Where employment ended with the expiry of a fixed term contract (which itself immediately followed a period of ongoing employment) to cover the absence of an employee who then returned to work, there was no redundancy situation.
