High Quality Lifestyles Ltd v Watts - HIV and disability discrimination [2006] EAT

Although the amendment to DDA 1995 which ensures that a person who has HIV infection is a "disabled person" came into effect on 5th December 2005, it was conceded by the employer in this case that an employee dismissed in October 2004 was a disabled person by reason of the fact that he was HIV positive. Sadly, the judgment does not explain why this concession was made.
