Hill v Governing Body Of Great Tey Primary School - structured approach to Art 10 ECHR essential
Article 10 ECHR should be applied using the exact words of the Convention
Mrs Hill worked as a dinner helper at Great Tey Primary school. Following an incident in the playground, where a young child was tied by her wrists to a fence and hit on the legs with a skipping rope by some boy pupils, Mrs Hill spoke to the parents about the incident without the permission of the school. She was suspended, after which she contacted the local press about the incident which then gained nationwide coverage. She was dismissed from her job.
