Industrial Action
- Economically turbulent times often see an increase in trade unions ‘flexing their muscles’ by way of industrial action.
- Industrial action is largely governed by the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 (“TULRCA”).
- A Code of Practice on Industrial Action Ballots and Notice to Employers must also be taken into account in relevant proceedings.
- There are related cards on Trade Union immunity from civil action in certain cases and on strike related dismissals.
