Job Adverts
- The Equality Act 2010 outlaws discrimination and treating individuals less favourably due to a protected characteristic. This covers application wording and job descriptions.
- The Employer itself may be held vicariously liable for discriminatory breaches.
- Even agents (such as recruitment consultants) can be held liable, although often the employer will again be held vicariously liable if such agents are acting within the employer’s authority.
