Kay v Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) - unfair redundancy dismissal

An employee was dismissed without proper consultation. An employment tribunal found that the reason for a dismissal was redundancy and that it was not an unfair dismissal.

The EAT allowed the employee's appeal and remitted the case to a freshly constituted tribunal to consider compensation.
