Madhewoo v NHS Direct - EAT criticises the 2004 Dispute Resolution Regulations [2006] EAT

Mr Madhewoo worked for the NHS for some 37 years. Latterly his job was to man a helpline and proffer advice on steps which callers should take to obtain any necessary treatment. He gave (arguably) some bad advice and was summarily dismissed in November 2004.

On 3rd May 2005 he lodged (inter alia) an unfair dismissal claim, well outside the normal 3 month time limit.
