  • Maternity leave is a day one right.
  • Employees must take two or four weeks of compulsory maternity leave.
  • Employees are entitled to 26 weeks of OML
  • Employees are entitled to 26 weeks of AML
  • From 5 April 2015, a woman is able to curtail her maternity leave and convert the balance into Shared Parental Leave to be taken exclusively by her partner or to be shared with them.
