Mehmet (t/a Rose Hotel Group) v Aduma - Minimum wage and race discrimination [2007] EAT

Mr Aduma was night manager at the Rose Hotel. He was dismissed after arguments about PAYE and NIC's. He brought and won claims of direct race discrimination and unauthorised deductions from wages. The race discrimination claim was based on the fact that Mr Aduma was paid less than the national minimum wage and that the employer expected to get away with this as Mr Aduma was a Nigerian student.
