Merchant Seamen
- The usual health and safety regulations (six pack regulations) do not apply to ships.
- However, there are other, specific regulations which apply the standards expected to secure the safety of workers onboard ships. They are not produced due to s.15 Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, as other regulations usually are, but due to thes.2 European Communities Act 1972 and the Merchant Shipping Act 1995.
